I gave in to the hype, and picked up The Girl on the Train, by Paula Hawkins. It is a thriller with an unreliable narrator, along the lines of Gone Girl. Overall, it was very easy to read, and I flew through it in 24 hours. I love the mix of voyeurism and trains, as I am someone who often likes to people-watch when I am on public transportation. The narrator, an alcoholic, can be frustrating though, because I wanted her to just pull herself together. All in all, a very satisfying read. Now that I am on a thriller/noir kick, my next book in line is The Perfect Ghost by Linda Barnes.
